It is set to house around seventy thousand spectators at a time, with more than fifty five thousand being permanent seats.
The structural design focuses both on the internal and external appearances of it. The inside of the roof truss, just above the spectators, is to act as a radiant near oval shaped disc, aimed at providing excellent light and making it more airy. The acoustics of the stadium is another fad which makes this stadium on par with other internationally renowned stadia. With the internal and external roof trusses of varying densities, they have different acoustic systems.
The roof designs are in such a way that they themselves act as noise buffers, preventing jarring noises from entering into the gallery. Both the surfaces, fixed glass-type outside and the relatively softer one inside, absorb all the noise, and let them pass into the structure. The stadium is divided into six primary levels, namely level 0 to level 6 with the roof on top of the sixth. With the present focus on FIFA 2010 WC, one wonders if this stadium will be used for rugby too, later.
