With a seating capacity close to fifty thousand, it is to host four matches in the latter half of June 2010. With a rounded rectangular shape, it’s a simple structure with many training venues near it. Situated a dozen kilometers away from the city airport, it also contains many game parks, closest being the Kruger National Park. It’s aimed at providing the fans, other recreation facilities during times when matches are not being held. The officials are working hard to make it big, and the stadium is intended to become one of the supreme leisure possessions for that province of Mpumalanga.
The seating arrangement is divided into three levels: the lowest tier housing maximum number of spectators, close to twenty thousand. Preceding the 2010 WC, it is scheduled to be a versatile facility centre, wherein even sports like rugby and cricket are to be played, with excellent conference facilities. This stadium is the first of its kinds in the state and it is noteworthy to mention that no international football had been played here in the past.
